“Phenomenal” is a teaser for a documentary about the Haifa-based artist Yuri Kudimer, an oil painter who immigrated from the Soviet Union to Israel. The teaser presents Yuri as a unique and unconventional figure, different from the environment in which he grew up. On one hand, he is capable of creating entire worlds and creatures through his artwork, yet he still carries fears and doubts like any other person.

Through a broadcast design animated by collage technique, the teaser follows Yuri’s journey from the gray routine of everyday life into a magical world that gradually reveals his artworks, inner self, and creative spirit. The collage Broadcast Design includes animated segments of the artist himself, positioning him as the narrator of his own story, alongside cut-out fragments taken from his paintings, objects and characters brought to life within his artistic universe. Together, these elements immerse the viewer in a rich, imaginative artistic journey that leaves them wanting more.
