Will you manage to complete the deal without getting caught?
“Erik’s Deal” is a 2D action-platformer that follows Erik, an unlikely anti-hero, a drug dealer, navigating the chaotic streets of Haifa’s Hadar neighborhood. Players jump, dodge, and brawl their way through urban obstacles, from overflowing trash cans, across air conditioners, to crumbling alleyways, while trying to evade, or fight, the various enemies a Haifa drug dealer might encounter. From wild boars, desperate junkies, to relentless city inspectors. Every deal is high-stakes, and getting caught is never an option.
The game serves as a humorous critique of the increasing drug trade in Hadar, the neighborhood with the highest crime rates in Israel. Blending satire with street-level storytelling, the game transforms Hadar into a vibrant, humorous playground. “Erik’s Deal” uses comedy, wit and colorful, stylized, funky design to raise social awareness about drug trade issues in a way that is playful, bold, and highly engaging.
